Hey it's me, firstly I want to apologize for being so inactive.
As you may very well know, the past few months have been entirely hectic, from COVID-19 to examinations to work and now into my first year of Masters at University. However, I agree that this is no excuse to have kept you waiting for so long. So I've decided to give you some life updates even though you probably don't care.
So for the months of March all the way through to June, I had not set foot outside my front door, not even to go to the supermarket or for a lovely walk around my area. Although this may seem ridiculous now, given the situation back then and the uncertainty of times, it seemed like the right thing to do health-wise. For the most of summer I was at work or trying to avoid going outside, even though for a moment there it seemed like things were looking up, with just 0 or 1 positive case a day, here in Malta. This was until August struck, and the cases took a rapid turn for the worse and yet and yet have not calmed down ever since.
Mid- October, I started my first year as a Masters student and attending it online was definitely a pain. For some students, online education may have served better for their learning, but for me it did exactly the opposite. I was and still am constantly stressed out, and being inside for a full day has definitely not helped my anxiety. I just feel like I'm 100 years behind on most of my work (okay I'm obviously exaggerating here but I am very much behind on my work). On the bright-side, I did have one physical lecture at the University of Malta which in some way was a kind of relief. I also finally started working in my area of studies which really had me excited for the rest of my career-path, because I was very concerned on whether or not I would actually like what I'm studying for.
For those who have been following since my first blog post, I also finally figured out my diaversary, I was mistaken, it was not in fact April , but March 5th 2012. Kind of glad I found it out because I was feeling left out without knowing my diaversary.
I also launched my first video campaign for my IDF YLD Project about diabetes awareness and I'm super excited for you guys to see what is in store for this upcoming month.
Anyway I won't keep you but in summary, I am high-key stressed but thankfully healthy and happy (mostly because Christmas is near). Hope you guys are all healthy too!
Please stay safe,
Tina x
